Marguisa temporarily increases its fleet to face Covid-19

News / Company

Marguisa, a maritime operator specialized in West Africa and leader in Equatorial Guinea, is trying to deal with the impediments caused by the global health crisis that has been taking place since last March.

As a result of COVID-19 pandemic, some of the ports calls in the Africa container service are suffering a heavy congestion that, regretfully, is affecting the integrity of the schedule.

In order to mitigate the consequences of those delays, and specially to avoid any disruption in the supply chain to Equatorial Guinea, Marguisa will deploy the vessel UML Veronica as extra loader.

UML Veronica will call Valencia on 1st September and Bata on 17th September 2020 and will perform, under the voyage number 13/20, an express sailing to connect Valencia and Bata.

This vessel will be exclusively operated by Marguisa and shows the firm commitment of the Spanish shipping company to provide the best service to its customers.

Marguisa, which is part of the Sea & Ports maritime group, has been present in West Africa for more than 30 years and operates vessels with its MAS container carrier service, which has 6 vessels of 3,500 teus capacity each and weekly departures, ensuring the constant supply to Equatorial Guinea and the rest of West Africa of all kinds of materials and food.
